Summer kitchen

The summer months are unbearable in the apartment with the kitchen woodstove working from morning to evening to feed the family, and the cheese dairy steaming all day. The summer kitchen provides relief from the heat with its abundant windows. It is also located just above the ice box, and the saying was “we’re eating on the ice box”. During winter time, this room becomes a cold room for the perishable goods.
