Around 1947, Thérèse Perron takes a picture of the enlarged family. Besides her own children, Marie hosts her mother, her sister Rosa, her daughter-in-law and her grand-child.

The “Jeannois” style

This setting is well representative of the interior of “Jeannois” homes in the middle of the 20th century. The kitchen furniture seems to indicate that the Perron family was small, although it is not the case! The height of the table is adapted for the youngest children since they had to participate in the household chores. On the walls of the kitchens and living rooms in Québec, numerous holy pictures and crosses are exhibited
