From Adélard to Johnny and Joseph

In 1900, Adélard becomes a dairy inspector for the Government of Québec. In 1917, he sells his cheese factory to his son Johnny. Johnny will add a second-storey to the building to home his family. He also acquires creamery equipment in order to produce both butter and cheese. The enterprise becomes a combined factory. Johnny’s brother, Joseph, is the owner of another cheese factory in Saint-Prime. In 1920, he buys the familyowned company.

You are now in the second production room that was built by Joseph in 1950. For 40 years, he runs the cheese dairy. Since the death of the cheese-maker in 1960, Marie Lamontagne and her sons have managed the factory.
